Thank you Fleet Feet and congratulations to all the winners of the Fleet Feet “Events with Attitude” series. These folks ran in all three races – 12k’s of Christmas, Kiss Me I’m Irish Run and the Redneck Run! Great job! Thanks!
Great news! The Kilt Run presented a check for $15,384.54 to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Glendale AND we broke the Arizona Record for the number of runners in kilts. Next year, the World Record!!! Plan to join us again next year and bring your friends. We need just a few hundred more people to break the World Record and we’ll be trying again on Friday March 16th.

Thank you to Prostate On Site Project for being at Kiss Me I’m Irish Run. This year 33 men took advantage of the FREE Prostate Cancer Screenings at the event, compliments of Kiss Me I’m Irish Run. Unfortunately it looks like two have cancer, but we hope that early detection will help save them.
Men, even if you missed this opportunity, please be sure to get yourself screened.
If you are 40 years or older, or if you have prostate cancer in your family, don’t delay. After skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in Arizona, and the second cause of cancer deaths in men. More than 4,000 Arizona men will be diagnosed this year alone and over 600 of them will die from prostate cancer within the next twelve months. Sadly, an easy and simple 15-minute exam might have saved their lives.
Men, if you have been putting off getting a prostate cancer screening, do it now.
Get Tough, Get Checked, Get Going!
WOW – over 1400 in Friday night’s Kilt Run for Cancer. Maybe not a World Record, but certainly an Arizona record. On behalf of Cancer Treatment Centers of America and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Glendale THANK YOU ALL!!!
